Our Certified Behavioral Health Specialist Instructor program is simple and affordable. Earning your CBHSI through National Performance Specialists means you’ll become nationally certified as an instructor, which will allow you to enroll your students in the remote proctored national certification exam for behavioral health specialists.
Certification materials include Comprehensive study materials, unlimited practice exams, and three certification exam attempts without any retake fees.
Behavioral health specialists are essential team members at rehabilitation centers, mental health facilities, clinics, and learning institutions. They are responsible for the following duties:
- Providing support to patients
- Assisting counselors and therapists
- Counseling for drug addiction
- Support patients with physical limitations
- Assist in the treatment of mental illness
- Working closely with social workers
Allied Health Instructor Program Certification Process
At National Performance Specialists (NPS), professionals may qualify to become certified instructors in our allied healthcare programs. Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Purchase the Instructor Program: Candidates must first purchase the Instructor Program specific to their field of expertise.
- Hold Current Certification: Candidates must currently hold the corresponding NPS certification in their respective field.
- Meet the Experience Requirement: Candidates must have either five years of field experience in behavioral health within the past 10 years or one year of teaching or training experience within the past three years.
Upon meeting these prerequisites, candidates are eligible to take our comprehensive Allied Health Instructor Program Certification Exam. This exam is a one-time requirement every 2 years and, upon passing, certifies the member as an instructor across all six of our specialized programs in which instructors hold an active certification:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
- Certified Electrocardiograph Technician (CET)
- Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT)
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
- Certified Behavioral Health Specialist (CBHS)
This certification empowers professionals to instruct in multiple fields, broadening their scope and impact in allied healthcare education.
