Take and pass the NPS National Phlebotomy Certification Exam. Become nationally certified and receive a digital copy of your new CPT Certification and photo ID badge.

Your digital certification and photo ID badge are immediately available in your account once you pass the certification exam.

Use the free NPS resume builder to put the finishing touches on your resume and showcase your credentials to potential employers. 

This allows employers on job placement sites to better see your qualifications, making them more likely to schedule an interview.

Lastly, submit your application and resume to recruitment websites, employers in your local area, and The American Red Cross.

In addition, you can update and make changes to your resume in the NPS resume builder as many times as you would like so you can create perfectly personalized resumes for the specific position you are applying for.

As an NPS Certified Member, your talents can become an opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals who collect life-saving blood, respond to disasters, teach lifesaving skills, and provide services to military members, veterans, and their families. The American Red Cross has many positions ranging from entry to senior levels. 

To apply with The American Red Cross, follow the following steps: 

  1. Click the ‘Apply Now’ button below. 
  2. Filter your search using the dropdowns at the top of the page or search for specific positions using the search bar.
  3. Once you have selected a position to apply for, you can autofill your application with your resume, or you can apply manually. You will need to create an American Red Cross account to apply.
  4. At the beginning of your application, you will be asked, “How did you hear about us?” Be sure to select “Certification Organization: National Performance Specialists (NPS)” 
  5. Lastly, submit your application for review! 

*If you are selected for a position, the American Red Cross will provide you with paid training. Training is required for all new employees regardless of their experience. This required paid training is extremely valuable for individuals who are new to their field or lack extensive hands-on experience. Experience is not required to be considered for a position.

Your NPS certification means you have access to the newest phlebotomy jobs in the industry. Our verification process provides instant CPT certification status to employers and members, which is crucial for last-minute job opportunities.

You’ve worked hard for your certification, and we want you to know we’re here with you all the way. If our CPT Certified Members aren’t thriving in the phlebotomy field, we can’t provide our services. If you don’t succeed, then we don’t either.
